Our Programmes

Our programmes are for 15-35+ year olds who want to get active, build relationships and learn new skills. We aim to build confidence in the outdoor environment while developing independence, teamwork and skills. Our term themes are: Water, bush, rope and hike

Our 3 main programmes are:

The Active Discoveries programme runs weekly during term time.
Students are placed into a group and attend 1 day per week (we have groups Monday to Friday).
Over the course of the 10 week term students focus on a series of outdoor activities associated with one of our themes of water, bush, rope and hike.
Programme days are 9am to 3.30pm.

2024

Term 1: The World Beneath: ‘Exploring our Water’ – water activity programme
Monday 29th Jan – Friday 12th April – 11 weeks
Aim: To explore our water – Below: Discover what lives in the water and shares it with us. Above: Explore a variety of water activities and new locations. 

Term 2:  Recurring wonders of our natural world – Bush skills programme
Monday 29th April – Friday 5th July – 10 weeks
Aim: To interact with the cycles of nature as we closely explore different land based ecosystems.

The Active Holidays programmes run during each term break. Each day has a different activity focus and students are welcome to attend for some or all of the days on offer.
Programme days are 9am to 3.30pm.
We also offer specialised progressive programmes during the holidays, between 2 and 4 days in duration such as bodyboarding, skiing and mountain biking.

Monday 22nd April – Foraging for FUNgi’s
Tuesday 23rd April – Giant Stand up Paddleboard
Wednesday 24th April – Coast Explore

Our Active Immersion programme is for those with higher support needs who want to explore the outdoors with a focus on sensory experiences. This programme is for those who can attend with a support person and walk independently. Active Immersion runs once a week during term time.
The programme aim is: To creatively engage our senses with nature, inspired by our term themes –

Term 1 – Water explore
Term 2 – Bush – TBC expressions of interest are welcome
Term 3 – Rope and Body movement – TBC
Term 4 – Hike and mindfulness – TBC

Pricing

Active Discoveries – $1500 per 10 week term (including gst)
Active Holidays – $150 per programme day (including gst)
Active Immersion – $800 (including gst) per 8 week term
