Learn Active is a registered charity that provides outdoor education opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities, 15 years old and above.

Our mission is to enable people with intellectual disabilities to explore and have fun in the outdoors while creating and achieving their goals, learning new skills & building friendships.

We run a range of programmes during the term, holidays, weekends and overnight. See the programmes tab above for more information and dates.

We are based from the Cracroft Guide Centre in Cashmere, Christchurch. And head out all over Canterbury and beyond during our programmes.
Our programme days are 9am – 3.30pm and carer support days can be used for payment.

By joining a Learn Active programme, our students will gain:
Self confidence
Independence
Commitment
Social skills
Organisational skills
Physical fitness
Increased mobility
