Our Programmes

Our programmes are for 15-35+ year olds who want to get active, build relationships and learn new skills. We aim to build confidence in the outdoor environment while developing independence, teamwork and skills. Our term themes are: Water, bush, rope and hike

Our 3 main programmes are:

The Active Discoveries programme runs weekly during term time.
Students are placed into a group and attend 1 day per week (we have groups Monday to Friday).
Over the course of the 10 week term students focus on a series of outdoor activities associated with one of our themes of water, bush, rope and hike.
Programme days are 9am to 3.30pm.

2026
Term 1: Journey of the eel – water activity programme
Monday 26th January – Thursday 2nd April – 10 weeks
Aim: Explore the tuna’s journey from sea to river through water activities.

Term 2: TBC – Bush and sustainability focus

Term 3: TBC – Rope activities

Term 4: TBC – Hike term

The Active Holidays programmes run during each term break. Each day has a different activity focus and students are welcome to attend for some or all of the days on offer.
Programme days are 9am to 3.30pm.
We also offer specialised progressive programmes during the holidays, between 2 and 4 days in duration such as bodyboarding, skiing and mountain biking.

Our Leadership and Personal Development Programme runs weekly and is designed to help students develop leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills through a hands-on learning approach.
This programme is ideal for young adults or emerging leaders who want to grow personally and professionally in an inclusive environment.
Guided by a Learn Active instructor, this programme aims to cover topics such as personal development, outdoor skills, and group leadership.
This programme includes:
* Weekly sessions for ongoing learning and reflection.
* Hands-on, real-time learning with trained outdoor educators.
* Personal and professional growth in an inclusive environment.
* A potential volunteer component within Learn Active.
* Lots of fun!
