Our Programmes

Our programmes are for 15-35+ year olds with intellectual disabilities who want to get active, meet new friends and learn new skills.

Cost
The cost of our programmes is per programme day, and the same for each programme:
Each programme day is: $92 including GST
We have a few options for payment:
Cash (bank transfer available)
Funding by invoice (Individualised funding etc)
Carer support days (plus the extra $4.60)

Overnight trips have an additional overnight cost of $76 to cover food, accommodation and additional costs of being away. This can also be claimed by carer support or the same options as above.

Active Discoveries
The Active Discoveries programme runs weekly during term time. Over the course of the term students focus on a series of outdoor activities associated with one of our themes of water, rope or bush. The programme is run by qualified, experienced staff and aims to build confidence and skills in the outdoor environment, independence and team work.

Active Holidays
The Active Holidays programme runs for four days each term break. Students are welcome to attend for some or all of the days on offer. Each day has a different focus. Activities may include tramping, rock climbing, kayaking, shelter building, geocaching, abseiling, swimming and more.

Active Adventures
The Active Adventures programme runs during the weekend. These programmes are a great opportunity to come and try out a variety of different outdoor activities in a fun, safe and friendly environment. These programmes run once a month so see the programme dates page to see when the next programme is.

Overnight trips
We run overnight trips throughout the year, usually 3 days and 2 nights away.
We camp in tents most of the year and the students are involved in all camp areas such as – setting up and taking down camp, cooking and cleaning and outdoor activities in awesome locations.
Most camps are for all abilities but we occasionally run specific skill trips – hiking, biking, ski trips where some skills are needed in these areas.
